A Message from our President

I am Donald Williams, CEO and principal stockholder of SEGI and I would like to thank you for this opportunity to speak to you about one of my favorite topics: SEGI!

SEGI was formed and incorporated in the State of California in October 1984 and began to actively seek business in September 1985. Self-financed from the outset, we picked our way through the minefield of "new business venture," learning, earning and growing as we went.

As our business grew, we found ourselves in need of a larger and more targeted facility. Therefore, in 1997 we purchased our present, modern 9,600 square foot building located at 1004 Hanson Court in Milpitas, California, across the San Francisco Bay from the heart of Silicon Valley and conveniently located near San Jose International Airport to the southwest and Oakland International Airport to the north.

We offer our customers what we believe we do best... service!
For example,

• planned or emergency field service, including service contracts
• rebuilding and refurbishing services for sputter deposition systems
• upgrades for sputter deposition systems
• completely new batch sputtering systems
• hard-to-find components and parts for previous generation equipment
• PLC-based control software upgrades

In addition, we offer special services, such as,

• service and maintenance training (your site or ours!)
• process support, including assistance working with "third party" labs

Taking a page from the "Japanese playbook," SEGI works to be relationship-oriented. We know that, for SEGI to be successful, we must make a positive contribution to your success. We also know how much that depends upon careful work and attention to the details.

And so, this is my commitment to you, as President and CEO of SEGI: We will work diligently to earn your respect and your business. We will be as open as we can about costs and capabilities, from your first inquiry, through our detailed quotations to sign-off and beyond. If you need a product or service that we cannot reasonably provide, we will try to point you to a third party or parties who can.

SEGI is not a "cut rate" re-builder, so others may offer similar sounding equipment at a lower price. However, as they say, it's not the initial cost, it's the upkeep! We believe that our approach will be lower total cost and of maximum benefit to you. We invite you to compare. Our reputation is unrivalled, and for good reason.
